Scan Translator is an independent online service operated from Europe (European Union).

We share data only as needed to operate the service. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles payment details directly. We do not receive or store raw card or banking details. Hosting and file delivery use infrastructure providers including Cloudflare. We only store the minimum data needed to operate the product, such as account records, translation-related data, and payment/transaction references. Providers process data under contractual obligations and their own privacy/security terms.

6) Data We Do Not Sell

We do not sell your personal data.

7) International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8) Retention

  • Account and billing records are retained as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations.
  • Final translated images are stored on Cloudflare for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Other uploaded files are retained only as long as needed for processing and delivery.

9) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. Service data is stored in managed external infrastructure with security controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously work to reduce risk.

10) Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage for session management, authentication flow, and product functionality. Disabling these technologies may prevent some features from working correctly.

11) Your Rights

  • Access, update, or delete your personal data where applicable.
  • Request restriction or objection to certain processing.
